Pro-Strain i-Post: Designed to complement the Pro-Strain straining system.

Prototypes of the i-Post were demonstrated by experienced and respected fencing contractors at the AFI Best Practice Event at Harper Adams University on 30th April.

I think this is a very good product, and I would like to get some more of it out on the fence line. You can just step onto it, and there are no clips to catch when you are putting up the netting.

Tornado’s innovative Pro-Strain is a fence straining system offering key benefits over alternative systems.

Pro-Strain was created following extensive feedback from some of the UK’s top agri fencing contractors looking for steel systems with better performance.

Pro-Strain’s registered designs can replace traditional wooden strainers, that often suffer from short lifespan or contain harmful chemical treatments.

Pro-Strain Benefits

  • Installation easily adapted to specific ground conditions and topography
  • Lighter-weight components than timber, so ideal for poor access installations
  • Simple and rapid to install, with fewer tools required, no chainsaws are needed
  • Straining posts and pegs can be driven by machine or manually
  • The adjustment allows the system to be fully pre-loaded, minimising movement when the fence net is then attached and tensioned
  • Pro-Strain can be used with any intermediate post, whether steel or timber

We are proud to present our latest innovation – the Pro-Strain i-Post, an intermediate steel post, designed to complement the Pro-Strain straining system.

Working with Fencing professionals, Landowners and Stockists to design a ‘game changing’ fencing solution for Livestock and Forestry applications.

The combination of sustainability, efficiency, and durability is a compelling package that meets modern landowners’ and contractors’ needs. Using 100% recycled plastic from UK agricultural waste strengthens environmental responsibility, while ensuring high performance – embodying a “Field to Factory to Field” approach.

Key features:

  • High strength, high performing structural steel channel
  • 100% Recycled plastic insert from UK Agricultural farm waste
  • Stock fence and barbed wire is secured using staples like a traditional timber post
  • No clips required
  • A system that isn’t constrained by stock fence wire spacings makes installation more adaptable and cost-effective
  • Pro-Strain i-Posts are pointed to aid installation in tough terrain like compacted ground or rocky conditions
  • Available in 3 lengths, 1.8m, 2.1m & 3.0m. Aiding our stockists to optimise their inventory while catering for different fencing applications and customer needs

Strainers and struts

Kits

The Pro-Strain system comes in kits and multi-packs.

When buying in kits, select a straining post kit and 1 or 2 strut kits to complement that, depending if the strainer is installed as an end, two-way or corner post.

Each kit contains the components and fixings required for that element of the system. Strainers come in 3 lengths to accommodate livestock, cattle, rail and deer fences.

There are also optional components to suit specific installations e.g. extra-large breast plates when installing in softer ground.

Multi-packs

Multi-packs are ideal for larger projects, providing the individual components in packs which are economic and easier to handle and transport.
